Chiddingly, Sudden Death
On Saturday an inquest was held before F. H. Gell Esq. At the Gun Inn, to inquire concerning the death of William French, Labourer, who had been ill a few days, and was found dead by his wife on the night of the 7th, about quarter past twelve. After a lengthened investigation, including the evidence of Mr Holman, surgeon, East Hoathly, the jury returned a verdict that the deceased “died from natural causes”.
