ST. MARY. Restored in 1882. This church has some good Tr.-Nor. work, especially in N. door and nave pillars; S. aisle and chancel are late 13th c. There is a stoup outside chancel on south side. Note: long squint; curious epitaph in chancel; and old pulpit. The chief interest in this building lies in the mural paintings, showing great variety of colours, representing incidents in the life of Our Lord. They are of the 12th and 14th c.
