ST. MARY. Restored in 1873. Of the original Nor. work, a blocked-up window arch alone remains. The interior of the church shows the passing of Tr.-Nor. to E.E. (c1200); the N. arcade favours the former, and the S. arcade and chancel the latter. Some windows are Perp. There is a splendid armorial brass to John Shelley and his wife (1526); two more brasses (1550 and 1592) to the Shelley's; three others (1458, 1458 and 1498(; and a fine tomb (1550).
