The chapel of St Peter, Baldslow was built on his own property by the owner of Beaulieu House. It was originally in the parish of St Mary-in-the-Castle, Hastings. The boundaries were altered in 1902 when the chapel found itself in Hollington Parish. A new chapel of ease, St Peter & St Paul, was built to replace it in 1970.
