Notes:

The medieval chapel (and undercroft) survives inside the present house which is largely 17th century. The chapel was remodelled c.1684, when the roof structure of 20 arch braced trusses was hidden behind an elaborate barrel plaster ceiling. In addition a marble floor and other wooden fittings were added.
