In the name of God Amen I Richard Aylwin of Treyford in the County of Sussex yeoman being aged and infirm in body but of sound and disposing mind and memory for which I praise Almighty God do in order to the setling such estate and effects which it hath pleased God to bless me with make ordain publish and declare this and no other to be my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills whatsoever by me at any time heretofore made. First and principally I recomend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping through the meritts mediation death and passion of my blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to receive pardon of all my sins and my body I comitt to the earth to be buried in a descent and Christian like manner at the discretion of my executrix and executor here after named. And as for touching and concerning such worldly estate and effects which it hath pleased God of his infinite mercy and goodness to bestow on me I give devise and dispose thereof in manner and form following. In the first place I give devise and bequeath unto my dear and loving wife Elizabeth Aylwin of Treyford aforesaid whom I make executrix of this my last Will and Testament all those two peices or parcells of land comonly called or known by the names of Newwood Mead and Bramsteds scituate lying and being in the parish of Harting in the said County of Sussex containing in the whole by estimation ten acres be the same more or less for and during the term of her naturall life. And from and after her decease I give devise and bequeath the same to my eldest son Robert Aylwin his heirs and assignes for ever. Also I give and bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth Aylwin the sume of eight pounds a year to be paid her annually so long as she shall live by my youngest son Peter Aylwin whom I also make ordain and appoint joynt executor with my said wife out of my copyhold estate lying in the Mannor of Treyford aforesaid which do belong and will come to him in course as being my youngest child. Also the use of my house wherein I now live and the goods in the same during the term of her naturall life and no longer. And also I give and bequeath unto my said executrix the use and income of two hundred and eighty pounds part of the fortunes of my two daughters Elizabeth and Mary Aylwin during her aforesaid life and from and after her decease I do will bequeath and order the said sume of two hundred and eighty pounds to be paid unto my two daughters respectively in manner following. One hundred and eighty pounds part thereof to my said daughter Elizabeth as and for a provision and maintenance for herself and children forever. But if she shall happen to dye and leave no issue of her body then my will and meaning further is that the said sume of one hundred and eighty pounds be paid to my son Richard Aylwin now living at a farm called Goldings and to be and remain to him and his heirs for ever. Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary Aylwin the sume of one hundred pounds residue of the said sum of two hundred and eighty pounds to be paid her as before after the death of my said executrix. Also the sume of fifty pounds more to be paid her by my said executors within three months after my decease and also one Bond or Obligation from John Tribe of Lickford in the parish of Lodsworth blacksmith to my said daughter Mary for fifty pounds which sums in being together in the whole the sume of two hundred pounds I do give devise and bequeath to my said daughter Mary and her heirs for ever subject nevertheless and upon this condition that if she shall dye without issue of her body lawfully begotten then I give and bequeath the same to my children and their heirs then living equally share and share alike. Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said son Robert Aylwin and his heirs for ever my lands in the parish of Treyford aforesaid containing by estimacon eight acres (be the same more or less) comonly called or known by the name of Shore or whatsoever other name or names the same be called or known now in the occupation of my said son Robert together with the house barns gardens and backsides wherein he now lives with all the stock and goods there in. Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said son Robert all and every my lands and tenements in Treyford aforesaid by me held by Indenture of Lease for three lives of the Prebendary of the Prebend of Ipthorn other wise Tipthorn in the Cathedrall Church of the Holy Trinity of Chichester together with the said Indenture of Lease and all my estate term and interest therein. Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said son Robert Aylwin all that part of the farm and lands in the parish of Treyford aforesaid by me held by Indent of Lease of and from Robert Aylwin Esquire for and during all the remainder of the term therein under the same proportion of rent my said son Robert now pays for the same. Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said son Robert all that peice or parcell of land with the house and barn thereunto belonging called or known by the name of Strittens? scituate lying and being in the parish of Elsted in the said County of Sussex containing by estimacon twelve acres be the same more or less with the Priviledge for Herbade of sheep on the down there and his heirs and assignes forever. Also I give devise and bequeath unto my said son Peter Alwin [sic] all that orchard which did belong to the house I sold to William Shirsten? by me purchased of Master Beiston? together with the mill mead and mill hanger containing by estimation three acres lying in Treyford aforesaid which I purchased of Master Smith deceased with my house and goods wherein I now live jointly with my said wife during her naturall life. And all the rest residue and remainder of my goods chattles and personall estate whatsoever after my debts funerall expences paid and discharged I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Elizabeth and son Peter whom I make executors of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal the twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred thirty and five. Richard Aylwin.

This will was proved before Mr Thomas Ball, Clerk, Master of Arts, Surrogate &c the thirty first day of January in the year of our Lord 1735 by the oaths of Elizabeth Aylwin widow and relict of the deced and Peter Aylwin naturall and lawfull son of the said deced and executors &c to whom &c well and truly &c sworn saving &c
