ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST. Rebuilt in 1877-8. The font is dated 1662. Reg. 1717.

Notes:

The parish was separated from Petworth in 1717. Seems to have been dedicated to St John the Baptist previously as both Frederick Harrison and Elleray cite this dedication? The rebuilding in 1878 retained the tower from the 1833 church which was probably built in the 14th century.
