Originally called London Road Chapel, this church was built as a mission church from the Countess of Huntingdon's Church in North Street. The expense was met solely by Mr Henry Brooker, a Brighton Solicitor and the building opened for worship on 21st July 1830. Originally the Church of England liturgy was used, however this ceased in 1838 at the request of the congregation. .
