ST. MICHAEL AND ALL ANGELS(?). Restored and enlarged several times (1875, 1888 and 1893). Much of the present building is modern:-the aisles and pillars of nave, etc. The old church was given to the Knights Templars. The lower part of tower is Nor., the upper part Tr.-Nor; the spire is shingled. On S. side of chancel may be seen some traces of the original church. Note: door to rood-loft; fragments of old screen; Jacobean pulpit and woodwork. Font, plain square, similar to that at Kingston-by-Sea. The tower arch has Ionic volute capitals. Reg, 1654.
