ST. BARTHOLOMEW. Restored and enlarged in 1874. Nave arcade (Tr. - Nor.) has one bay on N. with round arch narrower than the others, and on S. a narrow pointed arch to equalise the lengths of the arcades. Note: three aumbries; sedilia; piscina; stoup by N. door with a coloured star at the back of it; old Crusader's chest; 17th c. candelabra; memorial tablets to the De Fyming and Paget families; old oak seating. The tower has timber roof and spire. Reg. 1558.
